Founder and Presidential candidate of the All-People’s Congress (APC) Hassan Ayariga fired a shot at the NDC flagbearer over his recent comment that the PNC is a more worthy party than several parties on the ballot.
Speaking of a campaign engagement John Mahama noted that thirteen people have qualified to be on the ballot but claimed the PNC was wrongfully disqualified.
“The PNC is a more worthy party than several parties that I see here on the ballot paper, but that is the issue we have with the Electoral Commission, sometimes they are discriminatory because there are some people on this ballot paper who Bernard Mornarh qualifies more to be here than those people”, Mahama stated.
Reacting to John Mahama’s comments at an IPAC meeting held yesterday an infuriated Hassan Ayariga stated, “Let’s be sincere political parties have gone through a lot of work to qualify, and we have qualified, and if those who have not qualified have a problem it is not on someone to sit on a different platform and say the EC is discriminatory”.
The Presidential candidate of the APC also revealed that it was under President John Mahama’s regime as President that the disqualification of the presidential candidate began.
He said, “For the fact of the matter in 2016, 13 political parties were disqualified under the same regime the person who said it is discriminatory was under his regime that we started disqualifying political parties, I was affected meanwhile, I filled out my form well”.
