Afia Pokua also known in the media circles as Vim Lady has shared a piece of advise to the NDC to go patch up torn relationships and make amends with the people Rawlings brought up to party so that they can also receive endorsement ahead of the elections.
With just less than 20 days to elections, the fight for and against endorsements of Presidential candidates from former statesmen seems to be at the center of discussion. President Kufuor was in the news amidst disappointment being tagged him, for endorsing Dr. Bawumia as the right person to lead the country. This endorsement led to his denigration by various political communicators who are against the NPP.
In a reaction, Vim lady who believes that, broken relationships within the NDC, is one factor for which the party appeared embittered by the endorsement of Kufuor. She mentioned that, people who were introduced to the party by the founder and have been sidelined by the current crop of National Executives, should find ways to patch up and make amends so that they give them their endorsements as well.
According to her, NDC needs all those people in this critical moments for their endorsements to sit well with Ghanaians. She shared how the NDC couldn’t manage even a relationship with their founder for him to find solace with the NPP and endorse their leader.
She further revealed that, the NDC needs to take caution with the way it’s communicators are hurling abusive words and attacks to Chiefs and prominent men from the Ashanti Region because the Region is equally the world bank of NDC and not the NPP. She mentioned that, the percentage of votes the NDC gets from the Ashanti Region is far more than that of what they get from their supposed world bank, the Volta Region.
