Over 100 supporters of the Independent Presidential Candidate Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanten Movement for Change have joined the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).
The former Movement for Change members cited NPP’s development projects and confidence in Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as reasons for their shift,
Speaking to the media, they said, “We the campaign team members of Hon. Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanten during the presidential primaries have gathered here today, some of us followed him and joined the Movement of Change when he withdrew from the presidential primaries, upon advice from National Campaign leadership we the youth in the central region who campaigned for him and his Movement for Change have decided to return to our mother party the NPP”.
Their leader Francis Edzie is now serving as the NPP polling station secretary in Cape Coast.
With just two months to the December polls, this new development will surely be a blow to the butterfly camp led by Alan Kyeremanten.
