Member of Parliament for Bawku Central, Mahama Ayariga, has expressed concerns regarding the upcoming elections, emphasizing that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) will be difficult to take down.
Speaking on the NDC compaign tour Mr. Ayariga, highlighted the intensity of the electoral battle, suggesting that the competition will be tougher than in previous years.
Mr.Ayariga reflected on the last election, noting how closely contested it was, particularly in Northern Regions.
“This election is going to be one of the most difficult for us,” he stated. “We need to put in double the effort we did last time to ensure we secure the trust of our constituents.”
‘’This is going to be the biggest fight of our lives. Why do I say so? The last election, we fought against Akufo Ado, who is not from anywhere near here. Look at the margin by which we beat him in the north’’.
He urged his party and supporters to mobilize and intensify their efforts, warning that underestimating the NPP could be detrimental.
‘’This time we are facing Bawumia, who is our neighbor. So, the fight that we put up in the last election.
This election, we need to put up double of the fight that we put up in the last election. So nobody should take this for granted’’.
Finally, a comrade I can identify with in the 08 campaign to get Candidate Atta-Mills elected, has spoken my language boldly. He has broken ranks with the sycophants – saying what I have been saying; Bawumia’s campaign is very effective & NDC mustn’t take him for granted. pic.twitter.com/LLi5iOXKuf
