The Education Minister and Member of Parliament for Bosomtwe, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum has shared that, the Ghanaian Creative Arts School, has the potencies of attracting students across the West African region.
The School which after its completion will be the first of its kind in the West African sub region will have students recruited across the length and breadth of Ghana. Auditions according to the Minister will be conducted throughout the high schools for students who opt to attend before they are given admission.
In an interview with Ola Michael, The Bosomtwe lawmaker shared that, the first phase of the school will be commissioned in January 2025 for the first batch to attend. He indicated that, the first year of the school’s activeness will be characterized by all girls, while the second year will have boys joining in the school.
He shared that, Facilitators and a majority of the heads of the school are strictly going to be practitioners in the creative arts industry, to help the students acquire the necessary hands on skills while the study. The school will have large music studios, designing studios and Fil and Television studios to make their studies more practical.
