Leadership of Organize Labour are expected to meet today over its planned nationwide strike on illegal mining on October 10.
This follows President Akuffo Addo’s appeal to organised labour during a meeting in October 3 to reconsider the indefinite strike to allow ample time to deal with the menace.
The leadership of Organised Labour is expected to hold a crucial meeting today to decide on whether or not to accede to the president plea.
Stakeholders has however urged Organised Labour to disregard President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s appeal to postpone the planned October 10 protest against galamsey as they say the president has not demonstrated any commitment to end illegal mining and should not be given the chance to buy time.
