Member of Parliament for Bolgatanga Isaac Adongo has mocked running mate of the governing New Patriotic Party Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh popularly known as Napo for running has been described as “verbal diarrhoea campaign”
The Bolgatanga lawmaker urged Napo to focus on irrelevant matters during his campaign.
Adongo, speaking at Jubilee Park in Bolgatanga after filing his nomination forms, accused Dr. Prempeh, also known as NAPO, of making nonsensical statements instead of presenting the policies of his party to the electorate.
Addressing NAPO directly, Adongo stated, “One rally, one bomb. One rally, one stupidness. Tell the people what you can do for them.” He further added that NAPO seemed to be fighting “against dead people” and had not yet delivered any substantial policy message.
Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh, since launching his campaign, has repeatedly apologized for some of his remarks and statements.
He is on record to have made comments like “NDC killed two pastors”, “Nkrumah outperformed for Akufo-Addo”, “You are a nation wrecker if you are in Ashanti Region and you vote NDC in power”, “Even God sleeps”, “The will not ban galamsey” among many others
