The lead Convener of the FixTheCountry and Democracy Hub, Oliver Barker-Vormawor has dropped the first part of a juicy audio conversation between him and the alleged National Security Minister.
Oliver Vormawor some months ago alleged that the National Security Minister Albert Kan Dapaah had offered him a $ 1 million bribe to stop his activism work.
Yesterday, October 29, 2024, Oliver Vormawor noted it was a good time to drop the audio of when a minister offered to fly him from London to Ghana for a meeting with the finance minister.
In 7 minutes, 30 seconds audio leaked by the embattled freedom fighter he revealed that the audio had not been tempered and this was only the beginning.
According to the alleged recording, Oliver noted that the only way this could work was through a conversation in dealing with the interest of the youth’s problem because it unites so many people and explained that the youth issues do not oppose to the government framework.
Oliver Barker Vormawor revealed in the leaked audio that in their first meeting there was secrecy and underhand dealings they didn’t want to communicate what had been talked about in the meeting so the immediate thing for him now was to come down to Ghana.
The alleged National Security minister said, “Let me put it this way, There is no way the security agencies will do anything to you if you come to Ghana at all. You can be rest assured, that will never be our intention. I will never do that. Number two, quietly between the two of us, I should not have any difficulty facilitating your trip in terms of logistics for you to be able to come down and we can start talking. Probably the two of us can talk later. I will want my colleague, the Minister of Finance alone to join me and some of your colleagues to join you so we can have a series of conversations. When we get to a point where we think we should go public or we think we should enlarge it, then we go from there”.
Barker-Vormawor, however, turned down the minister’s proposal to facilitate his coming down preferring to facilitate his travel by himself adding he could be in Ghana on Thursday.
The alleged minister added that he wanted the finance minister to be part of their meeting because he understands the issue, they then agreed that the meeting be held at the safe house, while Barker-Vormawor proposed that one General Kutin of the Ghana Armed Forces, who was also on the call, serve as an intermediary between the two sides.
Meanwhile, the National Security Ministry has already come out to debunk Oliver Barker Vormawor’s allegation that he was offered bribes and incentives to stop his activist works. The Minister for National Security, Albert Kan Dapaah through his ministry released a statement denying the claims and stated a meeting was held between the Minister for National Security, the Minister for Finance, and #FixTheCountry activists sometime in 2021.
However, Oliver Barker has maintained his stand and started dropping the conversation between him and National Security.
Ghanaians are keeping their fingers crossed waiting to hear in the audio conversation when the National Security Minister offered him the $1 million bride and incentives to quit his activist work with the FixTheCountry movement.
