The member of parliament for the North Tongu constituency, Hon Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has donated laptops, sewing machines, hairdryers, and money to youths of North Tongu.
According to an X post by the MP, Laptops were given to final year tertiary students, sewing machines to apprentices, hair dryers to apprentices, and financial support to traders was given to some people of North Tongu during its Youth Empowerment program.
The MP further took the opportunity to thank the NDC running mate Jane Naana for gracing the event as the special guest.
In his post on, he also reiterated Mahama’s promise to the youths, he wrote, “President Mahama has promised bigger empowerment schemes under the National Apprenticeship Programme, the 1 Million Coders initiative, Laptops for students intervention, No Admission Fees, Special incentives for startups and a massive job creation agenda under his 24-hour-economy concept”.
