A former student of Prempeh College and a NSMQ contestant, Evans Oppong has been arrested with three other Ghanaian students studying in the US for forgery.
The four students of Lehigh University in Pennsylvania have been arrested for forging their high school transcript to study abroad.
The investigation began when concerns were raised about the legitimacy of the transcript submitted by one of the students’ older brothers, leading to the bombshell finding of forgery of the other three students.
Evans is one of the star students in the Ghana academic fraternity because of his success in the 2021 NSMQ with Prempeh College.
The students received financial support based on their falsified transcript totaling $ 212,933, $ 127, 213, and $ 129,244 respectively.
The four are now facing charges of forgery and theft and are being on $ 100,000 bail.
