Seth Panwum Boyoyo, the Board Chairman of the National Sports Authority, says the Accra and Cape Coast stadiums are in prime shape to international game for the national team, Black Stars (category 3 games).
According to Seth Panwum Boyoyo who appeared before the Parliamentary Select Committee on Sports on the stadiums which have been received facelifts are awaiting CAF’s inspection team and approval for use.
Mr. Boyoyo assured the Black Stars will play their home game against Sudan in the 2025 African Cup in Ghana.
“Please disregard reports of Ghana going to play its games in Togo. This committee should not give its attention to media rumors because we have written to CAF to come and check out our alternative venues.”
“All the things CAF told us to do have been done so we have written to them to bring their inspectors to come and inspect the venue and I can tell you that once they come to see the venues, the Black Stars will play their home games in Ghana,” he added.
