NPP MPs tricked as to come to parliament so they can campaign-Agbodza

Kwame Governs Agbodza, the Majority Chief Whip of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Parliament, has accused the New Patriotic Party (NPP) of deceiving them into reconvening Parliament today for political purposes, specifically to campaign for votes ahead of the upcoming December elections.

The special recall session, which was initiated by the NPP Caucus in parliament , had been expected to address several pressing issues.

However, as the Majority Caucus failed to appear in the Chamber, Speaker Alban Bagbin expressed his disappointment, noting that their absence had stalled proceedings.

Without the presence of NPP Members of Parliament, the Speaker explained, the House could not meet the quorum required to conduct business.
