The Deputy Director of Elections for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mahdi Jibril, has accused the New Patriotic Party (NPP) of attempting to create an atmosphere of fear and insecurity ahead of the December 7 general elections.
His comments come on the back of accusations from the NPP during their press conference yesterday, where they accused the NDC of plotting to incite chaos in the Ashanti Region ahead of the 2024 elections.
The NPP claims this is part of a broader strategy by the NDC, led by retired COP Kofi Boakye, to intimidate voters and discourage support for the party on election day.
In a heated response the Deputy Director of Elections for the NDC, Mahdi Jibril, rubbished the claims and accused the NPP of attempting to create an atmosphere of fear and insecurity.
‘’NPP know they are losing the elections that’s why they are making these baseless comments’’
