The running mate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh has said not all hands that pray for you are divine.
Speaking on a campaign platform NAPO criticized John Mahama for suggesting that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia does not deserve such prayers. NAPO reacting said, “Not all hands that pray for you are divine, some are curse.”
The NDC flagbearer John Mahama during a meeting with clergy on October 1, 2024, was spotted being prayed for by some powerful clergymen with Rev. Isaac Owusu-Bempah making a bold declaration proclaiming that the former president would lead the nation in 2025, asserting that nothing could change this divine mandate.
Reacting to this development Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh criticized Mahama for being contradictory and doubted his honesty saying, “Just a week ago, you were insulting chiefs and priests for praying for Bawumia and me, and now you’re seeking prayers from them?”
He added. “You can’t insult them and later seek their prayers”.
