A resident of the Shiabu electoral area within the Ablekuma Central Constituency has declared a no sea defense no vote agenda ahead of the election.
In a recorded video, the woman who appeared to have had a taste of sea wave destruction, called out to the Member of Parliament for the Constituency, Ursula Owusu Ekuful and the President to with a sense of emergency construct the sea defense for residents.
According to her, it’s been long since the government promised to construct the sea defense bit has not lived up to its promises, causing lots of residents along the Shiabu Beach road to lose their homes to the sea waves. She shared how the sea wave has rendered her homeless for a while now.
She further called out on all the contesting Presidential candidates to come to their aid if they indeed want residents of the Shiabu area to vote for them. She mentioned that, for the sake of the sea defense all residents have identified themselves as floating voters awaiting the intervention of any politician.
