A Netizen has fired shot at JoyNews team for describing Ghanaians as emotionless and excited about the ill health of the Executive Secretary to President Akufo-Addo, Nana Bediatuo Asante.
Reacting to a question on JOY FM social media page on X which read, “The ‘emotionless’ Ghanaian; the “excitement” surrounding Nana Bediatuo Asante’s health – does the ordinary Ghanaian wish the worst for their leaders?”
A social media user heavily criticized the news team, the X user revealed that Nana Asante Bediatuo is getting the best of treatment in the US, while his mother died in Ghana after being tossed around in Korle Bu claiming there was no bed.
His post read, “Elevate wo ni ne wo se! Nana Asante Bediatuo is getting treatment in the US, and you want our sympathy? My mother died because hospitals in Ghana kept tossing her unconscious self-back and forth claiming no bed. Was she not a Ghanaian too? Was her life not valued? Nkwasiafoɔ”.
According to a press statement released from the Office of the President, Nana Bediatuo is unwell and being treated in the U.S however, rumors going around insist that he has suffered a stroke in America, emergency treatment.
Several Ghanaians have expressed excitement regarding the news of the Secretary to the President, Nana Bediatuo Asante is unwell, with many suggestions that he should be brought back to Korle-Bu for proper and quality healthcare.
