Sammy Gyamfi, the National Communication Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has stated the new $250m Bank of Ghana headquarters is the biggest misplaced priority in Ghana.
According to Sammy Gyamfi, the building triggers pain in the hearts of many Ghanaians since the Bank of Ghana two years ago procured a loss of 60 billion cedis.
Speaking on Good Morning Ghana, he stated, “To add insult to injury he now reminds us of the biggest misplaced priorities in our country today, the uncompleted Bank of Ghana square, or they call it the bank square, a building that is supposed to be 8 story or 9 stories or 10 stories you have done about six-story it is uncompleted you assemble everybody there to commission because you have bereft of developmental project”.
“Akufo-Addo just wants to commission something to prove that he has worked, so you have gone to commission an uncompleted misplaced priority we should clap for you, that means that the economy is showing signs of recovery”.
The NDC communicator further added, “This building you are talking about actually triggers pain in the hearts of many Ghanaians, the bank of Ghana two years ago procured a loss of 60 billion cedis do you know that, last year 10.5 billion cedis, even before that the Bank of Ghana made losses”.
