A Social media user has fingered the Member of Parliament for Nsawam/ Adoagyiri Hon. Annoh Dompreh for busing his constituent to parliament.
According to the X user, Annoh Dompreh assembled his party guys without the Ghana Police approval and used the school bus of Nsawam Secondary School to bus them from Nsawam to parliament.
Hundreds of New Patriotic Party (NPP) supporters have made their way to parliament ahead of the promised Showdown in parliament today.
According to the video posted by TV3 Ghana which supports the claims of the X user, the NPP supporters were dressed in their party colors and T-shirts bused in their numbers from Nsawam Adoagyiri with the bus of Nsawam SHS by Annoh Dompreh.
The X user’s full post reads, “Annoh-Dompreh assembled his party guys, without the permission of Ghana Police and bused them in the Nsawam Secondary School vehicle from Nsawam to the Parliament House. On record, any chaos that happens emanates from this action of Annoh Dompreh. Shame on you @FAnnohDompreh”.
Parliament is sitting today after the Supreme Court overturned a decision made by the Speaker of Parliament to declare four seats vacant in parliament.
The NDC caucus has reiterated its position as the majority in parliament despite the supreme court ruling, with the NPP caucus also insisting they are the majority in parliament.
