Samuel Hadjor a member of the National Democratic Congress campaign team has boldly stated that the NDC won’t ban small-scale mining.
According to the NDC campaign team member the party seeks to add the needed technical expertise to the work of the small-scale miners for them to be able to reclaim the lands they are mining on.
Speaking to a group of miners he said, “We have said it small-scale mining the NDC has not said we will ban it so if you hear somewhere that the NDC will ban it is not true”.
“What we want to do is to help small-scale mining is to add technical expertise, if you have a site that you are working on you need to have a mining engineer who will guide you, a safety guide to ensure the work you doing is being done safely”.
The NDC campaign team member added that the NDC wants miners to reclaim the land back after mining for crops to be grown on it.
He further added that the NDC will ensure their work is done right and not collapse their work.
