The NDC’s Director of I.T and Elections, Dr. Omane Boamah has promised to complete at least 75 percent of the collation of the presidential election results by 11:00 p.m. on December 7, 2024.
He shared that, this development is part of the Party’s initiative to contribute to and ensure that the counting of votes in the December polls is transparent and efficient. Speaking to Party Supporters at Otoase in the Ayensuano Constituency, Dr. Omane Boamah shared his worry over the attempt by the NPP to rig the elections, especially during the proxy voting for security personnel and providers of essential services on December 2.
He charged the party supporters to keep an eye on every single ballot paper and vote that will be casted both on December 2 and December 7 in order to save the country from abuse of democracy by the NPP. He also called on supporters to make sure presiding officers post the election pink sheets at polling stations as required by law under CI 127.
He further advised supporters to converge at the constituency collation centres after declaration to observe the collation process and also corporate with the directives of the security personnel on ground to avert any casualties.
