The NDC caucus in parliament has sent a strongly-worded caution to leadership of the Ghana Armed Forces against an alleged plot to deploy military personnel to parliament tomorrow to intimidate the NDC MPs.
The warning comes in the wake of what is expected to be a showdown in parliament tomorrow with the NDC and NPP MPs expected to battle it out for which side is the legitimate majority caucus in the house.
The impasse comes after the Supreme Court in a unanimous 5-0 last Friday October 18, 2024 issued a stay of execution order on Speaker Alban Bagbin’s declaration of four seats of incumbent Members of Parliament vacant.
However, the NDC MPs have vowed to defy this order and “jealously” protect their new-found status as the majority side in the house.
MP for Adaklu Constituency, Governs Kwame Agbodza also addressing that news conference raised alarm over polans by government to deploy the military to parliament to intimidate the NDC MPs.
