The presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Dramani Mahama has said the NDC needs to win the Greater Accra by about 300,000 votes.
According to John Mahama, the NDC won Greater Accra in 2020 but with only 76,000 votes, in the 2024 elections the NDC needs to widen the gap to about 300,000.
Speaking to a TV3 reporter John Mahama detailed, “Greater Accra we won the last time but only 76,000 votes we need to win it about 300,000 votes and we need to widen the gap in the Volta region, NPP got about 100,000 votes in Volta region the last time, we got about 800,000. We need to decrease the votes they get in the Volta region”.
John Mahama further boldly claimed the NPP is having a pipped dream if they think they can get 300,000 voters in the Volta region, saying, “That’s a pipped dream, I don’t think NPP can get 300,000 votes in the Volta region mark my words, look at the results when they come. They can’t get 300,000 votes in the Volta region.
“We are going to win it, I mean Volta region knows that it is NDC that stands for them, everything regional hospital, University of Health and Allied sciences virtually everything, electrification, water, bundle water system everything is provided in NDC time, and we have a very good plan for the Volta region and Oti”, he boldly reiterated.
