The presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Dramani Mahama has revealed that the NDC has a very good plan for the Volta and Oti region.
According to John Mahama, there is no mining happening in the Volta and Oti regions, so the vegetation is lust and beautiful for agricultural production.
Speaking to a TV3 reporter John Mahama said, “One of the special Agric processing zones in Volta and Oti because the good thing is that God works in mysterious ways there is no mining in Volta and Oti so you can see how lust the vegetation is, they have some of the most beautiful vegetation in the whole country and that is a blessing from God”.
“Tourism would flourish there and they produce so much cassava, so much maize, so much yam, ginger, pepper, they produce everything, and so we can put in the processing capacity they produce rice, and some of the places they produce the rice, they just sell the paddy, we will put in rice processing mills we can brand it Oti aromatic rice and market it to cut down the amount of food we import”, he added.
John Maham further reiterated, “So, we are going to pay special attention to those two regions and see how we can put in agribusiness and Agro-processing”.
Meanwhile, John Mahama has boldly stated that the NPP is having a pipped dream if they think the NPP can get 300,000 votes in the Volta region.
