The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has dismissed allegations that the party is plotting to rig the upcoming 2024 elections through a secret document.
Richard Ahiagba, the Director of Communications for the NPP, claimed at a press conference yesterday that the party intercepted a document titled “Winning the 2024 Election and Beyond,” which purportedly outlines sinister plans by the NDC to tamper with election results.
He praised the NPP caucus for maintaining composure in the face of what he described as extreme provocation from the NDC, reaffirming the party’s commitment to upholding peace and stability in the country.
Ahiagba expressed gratitude for the resolve of NPP MPs in resisting what he alleged was an attempt by NDC-sponsored Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, to unlawfully alter the composition of Parliament in favor of the NDC.
]The NPP believes that a recent Supreme Court ruling vindicated its position by ordering Speaker Bagbin to reverse what it called an “unlawful and undemocratic decision.”
In response to the NPP’s claims, Elikem Kotoko, Deputy National Organizer of the NDC, branded the allegations as laughable and a desperate attempt by the NPP to divert attention from the Agyapade3 document.
He emphasized that the NDC remains focused on its agenda for the upcoming elections, unshaken by the NPP’s accusations.
