With just a month and a day to the election of Ghana’s next President and new Parliament, discussions of various Political Parties and their policies seems to be getting on a heated note as Edem Agbana of the NDC and Jamaludeen Abdullah engage in a heated argument over the $36 million allocated for stadium renovations
In a submission on the policies of the NDC, Edem Agbana an NDC Parliamentary Candidate for Ketu North mentioned that, his party seeks to embark on their Operations Recover All Looted policy which seeks to salvage all moneys wasted due to the corruptive acts of the NPP government. He reacted to how damaging it is for the government to allegedly spend $58 million on digging a hole for the construction of a national cathedral
He mentioned that, the NDC will retrieve all moneys from those involved in the national cathedral construction including men of God and Islamic leaders. He further revealed that an amount of over $36 million has been sunk into the renovation of the stadiums yet no work has been and the government needs to account for it
Reacting to the Stadium accusations, Jamludeen Adullah who is the Executive Secretary to the Sports Ministry and speaks for the NPP, called it false that there were no works being done at the stadiums. He said the Ministry of Youth and Sports released a communiqué to detail works that are ongoing at the various stadiums earmarked for renovations.
Both Communicators got into a heated argument with one claiming the submission of issues were false and misleading while the other kept tagging and hitting them as true and corruptive. Edem Agbana described Jamaludeen Adullah as errand boy to the Sports Ministry which did not sit well with him, hence the heated argument.
