A constituent of Navrongo is chasing the presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for the railway line he promised them in the 2020 elections.
According to the Navrongo constituent, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia during the run-up to the 2020 elections promised the good people of Navrongo a railway from Cape Coast to Paga.
Speaking on TV3 Community Manifesto, the Navrongo resident said, “Navrongo and Paga are the border towns to Burkina Faso and when Bawumia was campaigning for the 2020 elections, he said they were going to construct a railway road from Cape Coast to Paga up to now we want to find out as to whether that railway has been constructed to Paga”.
The Navrongo resident also added that the NPP in 8 years cannot point to one monumental project in Navrongo.
“The station that we are seated in here is the handwork of the NDC, the 8 years that NPP has come to power they cannot show as any developmental project in Navrongo here, tell them if they can point to us one monumental infrastructure that they have constructed”, he boldly stated.
