In a strong interview on TV3, Tamakloe criticized the President for failing to deliver on his promise, saying the $58 million allocated to the National Cathedral project has been wasted.

“We expected a man of his age to think of the future, but instead, he used the funds to dig a hole,” Tamakloe said.

He expressed deep frustration over the contrast between the initial optimism surrounding the project  touted as a beacon of Christian unity and its current unfinished state.

“What was promised as a symbol of national pride has now become an empty site, leaving Ghanaians questioning the leadership behind it,” he added.

Tamakloe warned that the President’s failure to address the issue, with only 19 days left in his tenure, could bring long-lasting consequences for the country.

“The silence is deafening, and it risks bringing a curse upon the nation,” he said, urging Akufo-Addo to take responsibility and offer an apology to the Ghanaian people.
