The founder and head pastor of The Maker’s House Chapel International, Dr. Michael Boadi Nyamekye, has identified Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh as the best performing minister in the current government.
In an interview with Starr FM on Thursday, October 3, Dr. Nyamekye emphasized the importance of evaluating the government’s performance.
“This government should reflect on its actions before seeking further assessments,” he stated, highlighting the need for accountability.
When asked who stood out among the ministers, he asserted, “In Akufo-Addo’s government, it has been honorable Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh”.
“He pioneered the Free SHS policy at the Education Ministry,” Nyamekye explained.
“He not only led its implementation but also managed to roll it out nationwide despite significant challenges.”
Nyamekye also acknowledged Prempeh’s impact in the energy sector.
“At a time when many feared a return to ‘Dumsor,’ he assured the public with the phrase ‘Dum-sei sei’ and delivered on that promise. This government knows that Ghanaians deserve better, and they made those promises.”
Nyamekye urged the government to look in the mirror and assess their delivery.
“Whether they have succeeded or not is for them to decide. I didn’t campaign for them, nor did I write their manifesto.
But on face value, I believe that honorable Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh has been their best performing minister.”
