The Office of the President has urgently called for prayers for the health of Nana Bediatuo Asante, the Secretary to President Akufo-Addo.
In an official communiqué, the government disclosed that Mr. Asante recently fell ill while on government business in the United States. His illness began shortly after the conclusion of the 79th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York, where he played a crucial role as part of President Akufo-Addo’s delegation.
Following his illness, Nana Bediatuo Asante was admitted to a hospital in the U.S. for treatment. The Director of Communications at the Office of the President, Eugene Arhin, confirmed that Mr. Asante is in stable condition and responding positively to medical care.
“He is currently in stable condition and responding well to treatment,” Arhin stated.
The Jubilee House expressed optimism about his recovery, noting that his health is improving steadily.
“According to the medical team, Nana Bediatuo Asante’s recovery is on track, and we remain hopeful for his swift return to full strength,” the statement said.
The government also expressed gratitude for the continued prayers and support extended to Nana Bediatuo Asante and his family during this challenging time.
