Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has challenged Presidential Candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama to name a single policy which he (Mahama) introduced to help Ghanaians.
According to Dr. Bawumia, policies introduced under the erstwhile John Dramani Mahama administration only resulted in financial loss to the state, and a legacy of discomfort to Ghanaians. He cited the guinea fowl saga and erratic power supply (dumsor) as some of the legacies left behind by Mahama.
Addressing Ghanaians at a campaign event, Dr. Bawumia bellowed, “I ask him (Mahama) that ever since he became Ghana’s president, what policies did he introduce for the betterment of Ghanaians?”
“He should name just name one policy he introduced to help Ghanaians? He’s been a vice president and he’s been a president; he should name just one policy he implemented during his tenure to make the lives of Ghanaians better,” he reiterated.
Dr. Bawumia said, former President Mahama was only quick to criticize transformative policies like the free SHS policy, which since its implementation has seen some 5.7 million children complete SHS.
