BHIM Nation President Stonebwoy has detailed that his sixth studio album Up and Running was not recorded for Grammy nominations or purposes as was largely rumored.
In an interview with Andy Dosty, the 2024 Dance hall Artist of the year and TGMA Artist of the year shared that, his new studio album was never in any way tailored for the Grammys. He mentioned that unlike his 5th album, the 6th one was not thought of for Grammys hence it was not submitted for consideration at all.
He stressed that it would have been a great moment if he got nominated for the Grammys but since legendary Rocky Dawuni received his fourth nomination, it still serves the purpose of a big win for Ghana. He also mentioned that going forward if there is a consideration by his team to submit any of his works for Grammy awards consideration, consulting Rocky Dawuni on the process to go by will not be a thought that will be pushed away due to his experience and exposure to the system.
Stonebwoy further shared that the planning of his sixth studio album which currently is topping charts was tailored to suit the world and not to suit Grammys criteria because Grammy awards can actually be won by any one whether the high and mighty or the low and weak Musician. He is currently promoting the singles on his album as well as shooting video projects on the album.
