Ghanaian gospel artiste, Perez Musik, has revealed how he turned back to God some years ago after his heart was broken.
Speaking to Andy Dosty in an interview on Daybreak Hitz he mentioned how after tasting a lot of worldly lifestyles including smoking, he had an experience that changed his life for the better.
“The truth is, it started with a heartbreak. Andy, don’t laugh at me. At that point, it was very painful. I’ve never told the story before but I will say it without mentioning names. Somebody in the industry was hitting on my girlfriend back then”.
“I brought my girlfriend to visit me in the office, when I turned, he took the lady’s number. The next time they were talking. And this was somebody that was my ‘buddy buddy.’ That’s why I don’t really make friends,” he stated.
Adding that he one day went out with his friend and the guy gave his phone to Perez to make a call.
“Then I saw my girlfriend’s display photo pop up on my friend’s phone. I opened and said ‘yo’. I just gave the phone back to him and went home. I didn’t say anything to him. I just left and I went home,” he added.
Perez however, shared that since becoming born again, he has found peace and joy in serving the Lord.
His career in the music industry has seen significant achievements, including winning Songwriter of the Year and Best Male Vocal Performance at the 24th Ghana Music Awards.
Some of his renowned songs include “Majie Oyi,” “Kaafo,” “Walatse,” and “Hewale Lala,” among others.
