Mpraeso Senior High School dismisses 8 students for alleged gang rape

Mpraeso Senior High School in the Eastern Region has dismissed 8 male students for an alleged gang rape of a fellow 16 year old girl.

Five out of the students who are  said to have raped the girl have been arrested by Police.

The other three students are currently on the run.

The incident is said to have happened on Sunday, October 13, 2024.

According to the victim, she was heading towards canteen with her friend to buy food when one of the suspects called her over.

As she was approaching the guy, seven other male students came from nowhere and forcibly pinned her down and raped her.

The Headmaster of the School, James Affadu, indicated that the disciplinary committee acted on the matter and dismissed the eight students for committing such heinous crime and handed the case over to the police for further probe.

The Nkwatia Divisional Police command has processed the suspects to appear before the law court.
