Former president and National Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate, John Dramani Mahama, forecasts that the next four years will be very tough times for Ghana thanks to the ruling New Patriotic Party.
Speaking at the 10th National Sacred Heart of Jesus Congress in Tamale, he noted, “There will be tough times in the next four years giving how recklessly deep our country has been sunk into poverty and debt”.
According to him, power, when used for self-glorification and gratification, and with arrogance and callousness, ultimately disintegrates the moral fabric of any country which in turn breeds despair and chaos, hinting that this is the situation that his opposition NPP has led Ghana to.
However, the former president, who is hopeful about coming back into power, assured Ghanaians that with God, and backed by the Ghanaian spirit of endurance and hard work, “we shall make progress and Ghana shall rise again”.
