Kylian Mbappe has not been in the best goal scoring form after transferring from PSG to Real Madrid.
The player’s form has taken a dip and France Coach, Didier Deschamps says Mbappe’s dip in form is both physical and psychological.
Didier Deschamp was once again asked about the reasons behind the Mbappe’s absence from his squad following their draw with Israel in the Nations League.
“It’s a fact that he is in a difficult situation. Obviously, he is going through a period which is not the happiest of his career.”
“He wanted to come. I think it’s better for him [not to be selected] at the moment. Everybody can go through a difficult period. There is a physical element, and a psychological one,” Deschamps stated.
Mbappé’s performances have been unimpressive as he has netted just once in his last seven club games and hasn’t added to his 48 goals for France since June.
