The leader of the NDC caucus in parliament, Ato Forson has boldly stated John Mahama administration is a hundred times better than what Ghanaians are seeing today.
Ato Forson noted that when the John Mahama administration was leaving office, youth unemployment was 21.2% but today youth unemployment stands at 38.7% under the Akufo-Addo Bawumia government.
Speaking on Nhyira FM in an interview, Ato Forson stated, “But the truth is some are better than others, NDC in office is far better than what we are seeing today, and President Mahama’s administration is 100 times better than what we are seeing today, every sector, sector to sector”,
“We should do a comparison they can never match the achievement of the NDC four years under President Mahama or even if you add President Mills as compared to the 8 years of President Akufo-Addo and Bawumia”, he emphasized.
Ato Forson further added, “Today where is inflation, it is worse, in fact at a point it went to 54%, the worst in the fourth republic, unemployment, particularly youth unemployment, when we were leaving office was high at 21.2%, today youth unemployment is 38.7% so if you compare it, you will note the last regime was better, we can never say that it was perfect, we have never had a perfect government since the fourth republic”.
The member of parliament further stated that he wants Ghanaians to know that they are not claiming to be perfect, but they are far better than what Ghanaians are seeing today from the NPP.
Meanwhile, Ghanaians go to the polls in 11 days to decide their next president and their members of parliament for the next four years.
