Broadcast Journalist and the host of Johnnie’s Bite on 3FM, Johnnie Beresford Hughes has answered a question President Akufo-Addo.
According to Johnnie Hughes, the Presidential candidate of the NDC does not want to debate Dr. Bawumia for the same reason President Akufo-Addo declined to debate John Mahama leading to the 2020 elections.
Addressing the people of the North on the President’s tour of the region he said President Akufo-Addo asked, “Why is John Mahama running away from the debate, Bawumia says he is ready any day for the debate, why is Mahama running away from the debate? The people of Ghana deserve the debate so they can see feeli feeli who is doing what and saying what”.
Reacting to this on his program Johnnie’s Bite on 3FM, he said, “You are more interested in why John Mahama doesn’t want to debate Bawumia, he doesn’t want to debate Bawumia, for the same reasons you refused to debate him”.
Johnnie Beresford Hughes further criticized President Akufo-Addo saying he was more interested in what an opposition leader had to say about galamsey but not interested in talking to the Ghanaians he begged for power.
He said, “The next layer of conversation you hear now is, that we must ask the opposition leader John Mahama, to come and tell us what he also will do about fighting galamsey”.
“You have the power to fight galamsey the bond and word of the opposition leader is what will make you also act, Mr. President focus, on your job, the people want you to speak to them, the people who elected you, the people you beg to give you power want you to speak to them. Tell them what’s on your heart”, Johnnie Hughes added.
