Former President John Dramani Mahama was ambushed by an enthusiastic crowd at Morle on his way to Sampa.
The unexpected gathering of supporters surrounded his convoy, cheering and showing their support as he made his way through the area.
Despite the surprise, Mahama warmly engaged with the crowd, taking time to acknowledge their presence before continuing his journey.
“I was passing by when I saw you all gathered I even assumed you were celebrating a festival. I only realized you were all here for me when I saw some of you in the JM t-shirt and I couldn’t proceed without speaking to you all. I appreciate the love shown if you didn’t love NDC you wouldn’t be here so I appreciate you all” he said.
He encouraged them to consider their future and vote wisely, vote for change and make Ghana a better place for all.
This gathering highlighted the strong local support for the former president as he traveled to Sampa for his scheduled engagements.
