Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, the member of parliament for North Tongu has ‘fingered’ three top National Cathedral officials for pocketing GHS2.2million taxpayers’ money for no work done in 31 months.
In his latest expose on misuse of state funds Hon. Ablakwa in an X post stated, “these 3 top National Cathedral officials have received uninterrupted salaries throughout the 31 months since the US$450million project was abandoned. These monthly salary payments over the last 31 months for the Cathedral Top 3 amounts to a staggering GHS2,209,680.00”
Hon. Ablakwa further added that causing financial loss to the state has never been this deliberate and blatant, and that workers are being treated shabbily by the Akufo-Addo/Bawumia government while a few moribund cathedral political appointees are feeding fat at taxpayer expense for no work done in 31 long months.

- Rev. Father Ebenezer Saka Ameyaw Position: Church Relation Manager Assignment/Employee Number: 1467567 Pay Date: 30th September 2024 Personal Salary Amount: GHS20,721.00 Receiving Uninterrupted Salaries Since: 8th January 2021.
- Mrs. Rebecca Lovia Martechoo Yakpo Position: Programme Director Assignment/Employee Number: 1472910 Pay Date: 30th September 2024 Personal Salary Amount: GHS20,721.00 Receiving Uninterrupted Salaries Since: 8th January 2021.
