A list of some notable scandals under the Akufo-Addo Bawumia administration has popped up online.
The list includes the scandals, the individuals involved, and the amount of money the Ghanaian taxpayers have lost due to these corrupt appointees.
President Akufo-Addo prior to his election into the high office of Ghana promised Ghanaians his government would protect the public purse, punish any government appointees who is corrupt, avoid a government full of family and friends.
Fast-forward to 2024 with barely a few months left under his administration corruption and amassment of wealth are constant within his government but nobody gets punish, with many tagging him as a ‘clearing agent’.
His government has become engulf with numerous scandals despite his commitment to fight corruption and promote good governance these series of scandals has rocked his administration.
Notable among the scandals include, the Agyapa Royalties Deal, PDS Scandal, Kelni GVG contract, National Cathedral, Cash-for-seat scandal and many others.
