Convener of the Democracy Hub protest, Oliver Barker-Vormawor, has denied claims being in hiding after being declared wanted by the police.
It has come to my attention that the Ghana Police Service has issued press statements suggesting that they are on a manhunt for me, thereby creating the false impression that I am on the run. These claims are baseless and misleading, as I have been in consistent communication with senior officers within the Police hierarchy regarding my whereabouts and availability,” parts of a post he made on X read.
The anti-corruption campaigner indicated that the police are being engaged on which specific police station they wish him to report to, so he makes himself available.
The Ghana Police in a statement yesterday declared Oliver Vormawor wanted over actions at the Democracy Hub Protest According to the statement, Oliver is wanted for his involvement in law breaching acts during the protest at the 37 round about yesterday, Saturday 21st September, 2024.
