The member of parliament for the North Tongu Constituency Sam Okudzeto Ablakwa has chided the Blays for owning the Labadi beachfront.
According to Sam Okudzeto Ablakwa, the Labadi Beach Hotel dividend paid to SSNIT would have been much bigger if the Blays did not own their beachfront.
Ghana’s premier five-star hotel Labadi Beach Hotel made a stunning record-breaking dividend payment of GHC16,509,000 to its sole shareholder, SSNIT after months of putting it up for sale to Rock City Hotels Company Limited.
The hotel in the past months was put up as one of SSNIT’s owned properties for sale due to low-profit returns and low dividends being paid to SSNIT.
The member of parliament in a write-up on X stated, “Let’s not forget that the record GHS16.5 million dividend Labadi Beach Hotel just paid to SSNIT would have been much bigger if they controlled their beachfront”.
The Blays in two separate lawsuits have sued the member of parliament for defamatory publications that they claim falsely implicate them in the alleged theft of state property.
Okudzeto Ablakwa has asserted that Labadi’s continuous profitability gives him more fortitude and courage to stand up to the Blays in court and will never stop fighting against the cancerous State capture.
