Felix Kwakye Ofosu, an aide to former President John Mahama has descended heavily on Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for claiming credit for the ECG and Passport office going digital.
According to Kwakye Ofosu, he knows a Beans seller who has also gone digital so at a time when there is technological enlightenment the ECG and Passport Office could not continue with their old ways of operating, they would have to innovate.
Speaking on TVXYZ, Kwakye Ofosu said, “The ECG makes 1.3 billion Ghana cedis so do you think they will just sit there doing nothing without bringing changes to how they operate, today when you buy electricity with the MoMo is this something significant that the vice president would claim? Passport office, do you think today that there is enlightenment in the way they do things they will continue like that?”
“I know someone who sells beans, I am sitting here it is late. They have closed, if tomorrow I take my phone and input their name. It will take me to their website, and I will choose what I like. A common beans seller is using technology so a whole passport office brings in an online application is this something a vice president who wants to become president will take credit for?”
The NDC man further added that today 2 million Ghanaians are unemployed, 8.5 million are hungry and pensioners’ bonds have been taken away and Dr. Bawumia is taking credit for digitalization asking people to vote for him based on that.
