The Kumasi toy gun trend finally hit the Greater Accra Region as some youth begins the fun at Ashaiman.
According to reports, the youth in Sunyani have also joined the trend and it’s gradually spreading nationwide. This has now affected the prices of toy guns as demands are very high now especially in Kumasi with price now ranging from 25 to 100 cedis depending on the location.
The toy gun trend is one that began on the low as guys decided to remember their childhood days when toy guns were used in a role play of action movies mostly during Christmas period. The trend which began with a toy water pistol gun has gained strong momentum as the youth in Accra, specifically Ashaiman has joined in.
Though fun as it may appear, the trend entering Accra may escalate into a different scenario as many social media users have raised eyebrows. The worrying part of it is how the price has shot up from GHC25 to a whooping GHC100 within a space of two weeks. The reason behind the price hike is unknown a to whether to deter them from buying or a means to milk people as Christmas is getting near
