The Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Mustapha Gbande has stated former president John Mahama was not arrogant about Ghana’s economic problems.
According to him, John Mahama in 2014 took a bold decision at the time Ghana had an economic problem.
Speaking in an exclusive interview on the Onua FM program YɛnNsɛmpa, he detailed, “The problem we are facing today was not there in 2016, it was not there in 2014, 2014 had its peculiar problem, and John Mahama made bold decisions at the time Ghana had an economic problem he was not arrogant with it.
“If you will remember Sekyere’s declaration, he asked all Ghanaians to come together to be one nation to sit and brainstorm so we could get out of the situation, he did that, and when we came back from Sekyere things began to pick up and we lost the elections”, he revealed.
He further added, “When these people(NPP) came they blamed COVID-19, and some are saying Ukraine all of this they could not solicit a national consensus on how to solve our local problem because they were stealing the money”.
