The presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Dramani Mahama has mocked the NPP flagbearer and vice president of Ghana Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia over his economist credentials.
According to John Mahama, the NPP government told Ghanaians they were bringing in Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to repair Ghana’s broken economy but today the economy is even in a worse state.
Speaking at a campaign platform, John Mahama stated, “If I were the NPP, I would go and look for a different person, who was not part of this NPP government to stand for the NPP flagbearer, but the Vice President was the same person they told us was an economist who knows about the economy, and he worked at the bank of Ghana”.
“So, the reason why they are bringing him is for him to repair Ghana’s economy, so it stands well for Ghanaians to be free is that now what they told us”.
John Mahama asserted that today what has happened is that now our economy is even worse.
