A Plus Ghanaian musician kum social commentator Kwame Asare Obeng, known widely as A Plus, is optimistic the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama is Ghana’s next president.
Speaking in a panel discussion on UTV, A Plus said, “We have two more months to election, and John Mahama will become president.”
Addressing ongoing demonstrations and the destruction left in their wake, he motioned that the aftermath of these violent demonstrations may mar the governance of John Mahama.
“If you go on demonstrations and embark on destruction and violence, and the gov’t becomes ungovernable, then we are blaming John Mahama,” he stated.
The musician now turned politician who claims he has been evading some questions from the media and made it a point to address those questions promptly.
A Plus refused to address a predominant question about his political affiliation but made a brazen statement to the surprise of many.
“I have dodged a lot of questions, and today I will speak up. I won’t vote for Bawumia, but why do you have to break a Bawumia billboard? I won’t vote for Bawumia, and I won’t vote for the NPP,” he added.
He advised Ghanaians against embarking on demonstrations with violence or vandalism in mind.
Although A Plus says he will never embark on any form of demonstration, he advised Ghanaians who do so to do it without malice.
