General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Fiifi Kwetey has upheld the balloting process which went on for positions on the ballot paper for election 2024.
“Our position was to ensure that the very motto of the Electoral Commision (EC) which is transparency was adhered, and we made sure no one had an advantage. The NDC is okay with the outcome,” he told the media.
Incidents during the balloting process for positions on the ballot paper, has raised questions about the transparency of the process.
In videos circulating online, Evans Nimako, Director of Elections for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has been fingered for supposedly playing foul during the process. Fiifi Kwetey during the interview clearly stated that no party was given an undue advantage during the process.
Fiifi Kwetey “Nobody was given any advantage. The truth of the matter is that the number, people make it look like the number is particularly important. What matters actually is the work that will be done. If you work hard, no matter what number you have you’ll emerge, whether you’re the 1st or the last or in the middle, you’ll emerge,” he noted.
