A netizen has reacted to the three-day nonstop repeated disasters in Ghana, comparing the disasters to Sodom and Gomorrah in the Bible.
Albert Nat Hyde commonly known as Bongo Ideas took to his social media page on X to lament about the happenings in Ghana.
His post reads, “Saturday: two burnt to death at East Legon, others fatally injured, Sunday: six died at Atwidie, others injured, Monday: 13 perish at Kwapia in road crash Monday: Dynamite blast kills dozens at Kasoa. Is Ghana cur$ed cos Sodom & Gomorrah sef wasn’t experiencing repeated disasters”.
On Friday, six persons died on the spot after a Sprinter bus crashed with a VIP bus. The fatal accident is said to have occurred on the Accra-Kumasi Highway in the Asante Akim South Municipality of the Ashanti Region.
On Saturday, 12 October 2024 a car accident claimed the lives of four individuals who died instantly at the scene reportedly caused by the 16-year-old son of Prophet Salifu Amoako.
On Monday 14 October 2024, a devastating road accident on the Kumasi-Obuasi Highway left 13 people dead, including a child, in the early hours of the day. The accident occurred when a VIP bus traveling from Kumasi to Enchi lost control and plunged into a ditch near Kwapia, a town close to Obuasi.
Later that day it was reported that some fifteen (15) individuals have died with more than thirty-five (35) others sustaining varying degrees of injuries near Buduburam on the Winneba-Kasoa highway.
