A devastating fire has gutted two agro-input shops and four bedrooms at the Kintampo Ntankro station, causing property damage worth thousands of cedis.
The fire, which broke out this afternoon, left a trail of destruction, with many items reduced to ashes.
The exact cause of the fire is still unknown, and investigations are underway.
Local firefighters, the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), took some time to bring the blaze under control, preventing it from spreading to nearby homes.
However, the fire caused panic and distress, leading to two tenants collapsing from the shock and smoke inhalation.
They are currently receiving treatment at the Kintampo Government Hospital.
Issah Seidu, one of the first people to arrive at the scene, bravely helped control the fire before the arrival of the GNFS.
Speaking to the media, Seidu recounted the harrowing experience and urged the public to remain vigilant in such emergencies.
